HISTORY

Flintlock rifles, one of the most commonly used firearms by pirates in the eighteenth century, they had a flint, which produces a spark at the blow of the hammer, which in turn ignites the gunpowder and fires the weapon. After each shot, the weapon had to be reloaded manually.

In battle, these weapons were usually used for a single shot, because it took a long time to reload the weapon. Therefore, after the initial shooting, the fighters were forced to draw their swords or sabers or to use the axe of the rifle.
